I’m Rik de Voogd, this is my website and it’s here for those who would like to follow along with me, my cycling stories and my adventures. For those who want to know all about it.

My website is about sharing what I’ve got, whether it’s content or knowledge.

If you decide to share your personal data with me throughout my website, I’ll treat that information confidentially, and it will be accessible to you at all times. Processing personal data is only done when it’s according to the AVG and UAVG regulations.

If you decide to make use of the forms here on my website, I will always treat this data confidentially. The data you can share via my website are the following;

I only use your personal data following the GDPR and UAVG regulations. I will only approach you, because you asked me to via the following forms.

Did you subscribe to my newsletter? I will only use your email address from the time you subscribed, until the time you might unsubscribe.

Did you reach out to me by using the contact form? I will get back to you by email, only to reply to your initial message.

Did you ordered something from my shop? Your order will be automatically fulfilled. I will not use your data for any other reason.

Your data will never be shared by me or provided to third parties, except insofar as they’re stored on servers, for which I’m provided by third-party services. Processing agreements are concluded with these parties, within and outside the EEA, in order to protect your data the best we can.

I’ve taken various measures to protect personal data against loss or other forms of unlawful processing.

Cookies

Cookies are used for the optimal functioning of my website. A cookie is a small file that is sent by this website and installed by your browser on the hard drive of your computer. The information stored in the cookie can be sent back to this website when you visit the website again.

Data Analytics

Squarespace

Squarespace is the software with which my site was built. I also use the Squarespace statistics that go with it. Squarespace cookies are used via this website. I analyze the information this gives me every now and then. The information is anonymized as much as possible. I cannot personally trace you. Squarespace will only share the information obtained with third parties when they are legally obliged to do so or to the extent that third parties process the information on behalf of Squarespace. I have not given Squarespace permission to use the information obtained for other Squarespace services. Squarespace is an American company. The information collected is stored on US servers. Squarespace conforms to the EU-US Privacy Shield principles. The Squarespace cookies are stored for a maximum of 50 months.

Google

My website makes use of Google Analytics from 'Google Inc’ as well to keep track of how visitors use my website. I can see how often and when my site is visited and which pages are visited. The information obtained from the cookie, in combination with your IP address, is transferred to one of the Google servers. This can be a server located in the United States. If you do not want Google to place cookies, you can simply disable the cookie function via your browser.

Modifications

I might change my privacy statement once in a while if I i.e. start using different software or release new website functionalities. Nevertheless, I will always edit this Privacy Policy. If the changes apply to you directly, I will communicate the changes directly with you.
